Mrs. Lois Adams, 89, of Monticello, died Oct. 31. The daughter of the late Herman and Carrie Hughes, she was born in 1918 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by parents and husband Mr. Bennett Adams. Mrs. Adams was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Covington.

Surviving are children Joyce Allen of Monticello, Reginald Cagle of Lithonia, Gail Kell of Monticello, Durell Cagle of Conyers; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Wheeler Funeral Home today, Nov. 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Russ McKee and Brother Durell Cagle officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
