Mrs. Lillie Alberta Ashby Hale died Dec. 24. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. (Lillie) Ashby, she was born in 1944 in Newton County. Mrs. Hale, known as "Rabbit' to her brother Leon, was a graduate of Rockdale County School. She married Mr. Harry Lee Hale in 1990. Mrs. Hale was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church for more than 25 years and retired from the city of Conyers when she married.

Surviving are husband Mr. Harry Lee Hale III; sisters and brothers Mrs. Betty D. Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie L. (Robertine) Shepherd, Mr. and Mrs. Willie James (Dot) Ashby, Mr. and Mrs. Augustus (Mary) Lett, Mr. and Mrs. Tully J. (Sadie) Bostick, Mrs. Janet Love, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin (Shirley) Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford L. (Phyllis) Ashby, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Sherry) Ashby; stepchildren Mr. and Mrs. Colin Hale, Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Hale, Ms. Deonna Kinard; five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 27 at Victory Tabernacle Church, Conyers, with the Rev. Douglas Nelms officiating. Interment followed at BethelBara Missionary Church Cemetery, Covington.
