Lee A. Demerski, 83, of Covington, died March 17 after an extended illness. The daughter of the late Victor and Louise Sinico, Mrs. Demerski was born in Springfield, Mass. She attended West Springfield High School and graduated from Springfield Technical Community College as a licensed practical nurse. In 1979 she moved to Hollywood, Fla., and then to Covington in 1998.
She was a warm and genuine people person and a loving and caring mother. An accomplished seamstress, she modeled her creations in a yearly fashion show and enjoyed cooking and dancing. She was preceded in death by brother Joseph Sinico.
Surviving are son Skip Demerski of West Springfield; daughter Barbie Dorow and son-in-law Ernie Dorow of Othello, Wash.; daughter Jonna Bopp and son-in-law Garry Bopp of Covington; grandchildren Tina Patnode of Enfield, Conn., Derek Demerski of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Graig Demerski and wife Jennifer of West Springfield, Danielle Bushey of Atlanta, Chris Bushey and wife Pam of St. Petersburg, Fla., Jonathan Bopp of Rome, Andrew Bopp of Covington; six great-grandchildren; brother Albert Sinico of Cooper City, Fla., several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 at St. Simon's Episcopal Church, 1522 Ga. Highway 138, Conyers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Crossroads Hospice, 1957 Lakeside parkway, Suite 500, Tucker, GA 30084.
