Mr. Larry Pollett, 60, of Greensboro, formerly of Covington, died July 4. The son of Ms. Annie Grace Johnston Walker of Porterdale and the late Robert R. Pollett, he was born April 11, 1948 in Newton County. Mr. Pollett loved hunting and fishing, and moved to Greensboro in 2003. He is survived by his mother; his wife of 38 years, Louise Pollett; children, Rebecca Waynette Cooler of Greensboro, Rebecca Lawayne and Ronnie Smith of Covington; half-brother Larry "Bo" W. Pollett Jr. of Covington; half-sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Leon Canup Jr. of Newnan; half-sister and brother-in-law Cathy and Kenneth Hughes of Jersey; brother-in-laws Raymond and Diane Tanner of Oxford and Steve Lindsey of Florida; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Pollett will be held at 2 p.m. today, July 6, from the Chapel of Harwell-Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Budensiek officiating.
