Kenneth L. Batchelor, 69, of Covington, died July 16 at Newton Medical Center. The son of the late Paul B. and Eunice Williams Batchelor, he was born in Putnam County. Formerly of Ringold, he had lived in Covington since 2000. Mr. Batchelor was a member of the First Baptist Church of Covington where he attended the Men's Adult VI Sunday School Class. He retired after 23 years of service as an accountant for Flav-O-Rich Dairies and Chattanooga Golf & Country Club. Mr. Batchelor was family oriented and never met a stranger. He loved his family dearly and was working on family genealogy. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and dog Sadie.
Surviving are wife Willie B. Batchelor of Covington; children Ken and Nina Batchelor of Canton, Miss., Beverly and Davey Bolling of Lawrenceville; granddaughter Stephanie Batchelor of Canton; sister and brother-in-law Rhonda and Eddie Hawkins of Eatonton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. July 19 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Len Strozier and the Rev. Jason Wade officiating. Interment followed at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, Marietta.
