Janice Hazel Thomas

Mrs. Janice Hazel Thomas, 65, of Conyers, died Dec. 16 at DeKalb Medical Center. The daughter of the late James Alexander Costley and Gladys Cover Costley, she was born in 1941 in Porterdale. Mrs. Thomas was the plant manager for Cellofoam where she worked for 40 years. She was of the Pentecostal faith, loved life and was an inspiration to many people. Mrs. Thomas especially loved her dog Sammy Sammy. She was preceded in death by husband Randell Eugene Thomas.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Scott Preston of Covington; daughter Lynn Thomas of Conyers; sister Mary Dean Denny of Conyers; special niece and nephews Phillis Worthy and Ronnie King of Conyers; grandchildren Randy Thomas, Brad Thomas, Ashley Preston, Tiffany Preston, Lachelle Thomas; great-grandchildren Lanie Thomas and Walker Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 19, at Community Worship Center, Conyers, with the Rev. Ed Walden and the Rev. Glen Purvis officiating. Interment will be at Eastview Cemetery.
