Ryan and Amber Betts of Covington announce the birth of their son Jacob Ryan Betts June 9 at Newton Medical Center. He weighed 8 pounds and 4 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Jabo and Kathy Cowan of Covington. Great-grandparents are the late T.P. and Marion Hudson of Covington and the late the Rev. Charles and Rachel Cowan of Oxford.

Paternal grandparents are Butch and Linda Betts of Covington. Great-grandparents are Emily Betts, the late Hallie Betts of Covington, Robert and Christine Jackson of Covington.

Brother to the Newborn is Jackson Betts, 3 years old.
