I-20 on ramp from Alcovy Road to close temporarily

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced the I-20 westbound on-ramp from Alcovy Road in Newton County will be closed, weather permitting, to traffic from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Thursday Feb. 14.

The purpose of this temporary closure is to facilitate the placement of part of the new concrete ramp. A signed detour will be in place. As with all road construction, motorists are advised to use extreme caution in construction
