Helen W. Patrick, 90, longtime resident of Oxford, died Nov. 7 at Abbey Hospice, Social Circle, after complications resulting from a fall. She was preceded in death by husband E.L. (Pat) Patrick and daughter Linda P. Wise. Mrs. Patrick loved her church, Covington, First Presbyterian, where she was an elder and was active in the Presbyterian Women. She also served as a volunteer with meals on Wheels and the Hospital Auxiliary. She used her talent as a pianist playing for programs at Covington Manor and other nursing homes. She lived the last two years at Merryvale Assisted Living, Oxford.

Surviving are sons Jim and Lynda Patrick of Oxford, Gary and Jan Patrick of Oxford; son-in-law Henry J. Wise of Atlanta; grandchildren Ronnie and Jamie Patrick of Suwanee, David and Ranate Patrick of Snellville, Steven Patrick of Clarkesville, Amanda and Allen Ashby of Flowery Branch; great-grandchildren Sarah, Caroline, William, Sammy and Matthew Patrick.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Nov. 9, at the Covington First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William B. Wade officiating. Viewing will be at the church from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Covington First Presbyterian Church.
