Harry Welborn Pitts

Mr. Harry Welborn Pitts died Aug. 19 in Newton County. The son of Mrs. Emmis Henderson Pitts and the late Mr. Hollis Pitts Sr., he was born in 1950 in Newton County. He was preceded in death by sister May Blanche Pitts and brother Hollis Pitts Jr. He was educated in the Newton County School System. Mr. Pitts was taught masonary skills by his uncle Willie Henderson. A hard worker, he worked for his uncle for many years. Mr. Pitts was a loving and caring person who loved listening to music and talking with friends and family.

Surviving are mother Mrs. Emmis Pitts of Covington; brothers Mr. Willie Roger Pitts of Covington, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome (Flora) Pitts of Ellenwood; uncle Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Roseana) Henderson of Covington; aunts Mrs. Lillie Rivers of Atlanta, Mrs. Maude Lee Henderson of Covington; sister-in-law Mrs. Sandra Pitts of Covington; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services were held Aug. 23 in the chapel of Young Funeral Home with the Rev. James Collins and Minister Katherine Logan officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens, Newborn.
