Mrs. Gladys Mann McIntosh, 92, of Mansfield, passed away Jan. 6. A life-long resident of Newton County, Mrs. McIntosh moved to the Mansfield area in 1940.  She and her husband, Robert Samuel McIntosh, who died in 1991, were married for 56 years. She enjoyed working in her yard, sewing, and playing the piano. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Reginald and Jane McIntosh of Mansfield; daughter Barbara Phillips of Covington; grandchildren Delores and Jim Edwards of Buford, Joanne and Rick Willey of Covington; great grandchildren Caitlin Willey, Krista Willey, Samuel Edwards, and Jazmine Lee; brother Johnny Mann; sister-in-law Dot Hooten; brother-in-law Alex McIntosh; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Jan. 8 in the chapel of Harwell-Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. John Whatley officiating. Interment followed at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
