Doris Key, 79, of Covington, died Feb. 6 at Newton Medical Center. The daughter of the late Thomas and Masouri Lester, she was born in Heard County. A homemaker, Mrs. Key was a member of County Line Baptist Church where she was in the Ladies Senior Sunday School Class. Mrs. Key enjoyed cooking and cleaning, singing, playing dominos and other games and dearly loved her family.

Surviving are husband Clifford Key of Covington; daughters and son-in-law Mazura Mattie Champion of Rome and Dorothy Mae and Harold Poss of Covington; son Jerry Key of Covington; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister Geraldine Burgess of LaGrange; brother Johnny Jerrell Lester of Newnan; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 8, in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. J. Clifton Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
