David Skelton, 59, of Covington, died July 21. He had been employed for 32 years with Beaudry Ford and Legacy Ford. Mr. Skelton was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, the mountains and his family. Mr. Skelton was preceded in death by parents Robert and Emma Lester Skelton and sister Annette Skelton.

Surviving are wife Beverly Skelton of Covington; brothers and sister-in-law Charles and Beverly Skelton of Smyrna, Roger Skelton of Lawrenceville; special niece Michelle Skelton of Hiram; special sister-in-law Tonya Giles of Covington; stepson, daughter-in-law and granddaughter Ronnie, Nancy and Riley McGiboney of Covington; other family Bryan, Bobby and Kay Skelton.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. July 24 in the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. Richard Gravitts officiating.
