Congressional concerns

Dear Editor: I am starting to get really concerned about the direction of our country. Congress is on a five-week vacation and absolutely no appropriation bill has been passed during this congress and I do not think that has ever happened since the 1950's.

Our congress just simply cannot govern anymore. I am in favor of ridding Congress of all the career politicians and lawyers. I read and watch the news everyday and wonder where my congressmen are and what they are doing?

It seems to me they sure like to come back here to Georgia and brag about what all they have done all the time. I want them to roll up their sleeves and get out in front of the big issues like social security, immigration, energy, or even tax reform.

I do not care; just pick a major issue and show some political courage and do something!
