Mrs. Betty L. Argo Metzger, 74, of Covington, died Jan. 29. The daughter of the late Edward and Beulah Hancock, she was born in 1933 in Montgomery, Ala. She was preceded in death by husbands Marvin P. Argo and Phillip Metzger and son David Argo. Mrs. Metzger owned and operated the Log Cabin restaurant located at the Hub Junction. She also worked many years at the Porterdale Hotel restaurant.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Steve and Kay Argo of Snellville, Mike and Lindsey Argo of Social Circle; daughter Debbie Callaway of Covington; sisters Janette Johnson of Alabama, Barbara Nell Beddingfield of Louisianna, Billie Ann Reynolds of California; brother-in-law Doyle Argo of Tennessee; grandchildren Blake Argo, Katie and Bill Dowis, Mitch Argo, Michael Argo, Chris Tuck, Mandi Tuck, Justin Callaway, Jordan Callaway; great-grandchildren Emma Kate Dowis, Destinee Dowis, Jacob Dowis; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 1, in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta.
