The Covington Family YMCA aquatics schedule has been officially announced, with swimming lessons that began May 29 (session one) and lasting until the first week of August.
There are a total of five swim lesson sessions throughout the summer, with several different instructors teaching the courses.
The second session begins Monday morning at 11:30 a.m. and continues until 6:30 p.m. The session will end June 24
The third session begins June 25 and will last until July 8, while the fourth session starts July 9 and ends July 22. The final session begins July 23 and ends August 6.
The cost is $50 for members and $65 for program members. (Program memberships are $25 for individuals and $35 for family.)

The Eastside Eagles will host the 2007 Boys Youth Basketball Camp beginning Monday to Friday at the EHS gymnasium.
Directed by Eastside head coach Michael Gerald, the event is a quality basketball camp for young boys at an affordable price. The coaching staff is comprised of Trent Weiser and Rochone Dilligard, including Gerald. The trio has a combined 20 years of experience coaching basketball and working with kids. In addition, the Eastside basketball team will work in conjunction with the camp.
The clinic begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. each day. A lunch break will be provided between noon to 1 p.m. (Players must provide their own lunches.)
Any male athlete who will be entering the third to eighth grade this fall is eligible for the camp. The cost is $70 per attendee, or $110 for two from the same family. (Please make checks payable to Eastside High School Boys Basketball Camp.)
Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt and a backpack, as well.
Applications can be picked up at Eastside High School, and will also be accepted at the gym during the first day of camp.

The second annual Eastside Football/Golf Tournament will be held June 28 at Indian Creek Golf Club in Covington.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. with tee-off at noon. The cost is $300 per team, or $75 per person. The tournament includes 18 holes of golf, riding cart, lunch and awards.
Sponsorships are available for $500, which includes the entry of a four-person team, or $200 without a team entry. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of weights for the new Eastside High School field house.
