Amazing race

On Saturday morning, the annual Covington Project Adventure Kids Raft Race was held at Rainbow Lake, proving to be yet another success.

Approximately 100 participants took part in the entertaining event, including many local youth, staff and volunteers.

The race included five teams who each designed a plan, drew a diagram and built a raft for the competition.

Each team, which consisted of approximately 12 individuals, chose from the allowed barrels, logs and tire tubes to build one raft.

Upon completion, they floated across the lake and back - some more lucky than others (see photo above). Regardless, it was quite a spectacle enjoyed by everyone.
