I think these new tag prices are ridiculous. You go to other counties and they have free trash services and we are now going to pay $145 to put out trash. Most of Newton County residents don't go to the dump more than once or twice a week. This is sad.

The rise in cost of hang tag fees has sure helped trash pick up ! Now the county just has to ride around the county and pick up old furniture and trash from the side of the road. Great move raising the fees to $145. They could hardly sell them at$50. Our tax dollars at work ! How sweet is is .
