COVINGTON, Ga. – The Covington Police Department (CPD) is looking for the person who broke into a house Saturday and ransacked the inside.

According to the CPD incident report, the complainant told police that she left the Griffin Lane home at 10 a.m. July 22 and when she returned home several hours later, she noticed food from the refrigerator thrown all over the living room.

She also reportedly noticed that the glass to her back door had been shattered and that clothes from the closet in one bedroom had been thrown onto the floor.

According to the report, the complainant told police she did not notice anything missing and she does not know who would have broken into the house.
