COVINGTON, Ga. – The Covington Police Department (CPD) is looking for the two people responsible for shooting up cars and a house after a fight at a banquet hall in Oxford ended in a Covington neighborhood early Saturday morning.

According to a CPD incident report, officers responded to an address on Pine Needle Drive at 2:41 a.m. May 27 on a report of gunshots. On arrival, officers met with two witnesses who said that the shooting started earlier at the Under the Stars banquet hall in Oxford. After that, according to the report, two males came to the Pine Needle location, got out of their car, started yelling and began shooting. They then got back into their vehicle, described as a grey Dodge Challenger, and left the scene.

Police found five shell casings at the scene - four from a rifle and one from a pistol. A black Honda reportedly had the windows shot out. A white Honda had the windshield shot and some body damage. A house was also reportedly shot up during the incident.

According to the report, police have names for the two people suspected in the incident.
