It’s SSEMC meeting time

About 1,357 Snapping Shoals EMC members turned out for the 76th annual shareholders’ meeting at the Georgia International Horse Park Thursday, July 24.

Shareholders voted on the board of directors, but the highlights were the raffles and annual commemorative mementos - this year a bright blue bag and bright yellow bucket.

The grand prize winner of a 2003 Ford Ranger was Latoya Gundy of Conyers. The oldest member in attendance was Gertrude Vanderhorst, 95, of Covington. The oldest couple in attendance was Roy and Helen Goddard, of Lithonia, each 91 years old.
