Do you approve of the Covington City Council's decision to form a committee to study building a gazebo on the square?

$121,000 on restrooms.. and now how much on a gazebo? How about a real price tag on these projects that includes maintenance, and administrative costs over time? Why isn't the City Council more concerned with the ugliness and decay on Hwy. 278, Covington Central Corridor? The City of Covington and Newton County are both stuck in the 80's/90's.. and there isn't a single person capable of thinking about the future, and what needs to be done to prevent the further decay of the community. Before you add a gazebo and bathrooms to the square how about taking care of some of the areas in town that have been neglected. Invest some money in repairing, maintaining, and cleaning up some areas that have been overlooked for far too long.. and then, when you finally get all of those things under control start building nice, new, shiny things to help get you re-elected.
