 Kathryn Eve Strickland, daughter of Whitney and Shane Strickland of Monroe, was born Jan. 12 at Newton Medical Center. She weighed 9 pounds and 7 ounces and was 21 inches long.

 Maternal grandparents are Kathy Ward of Oxford and Dwight and Laurie Snipes of Conyers. Paternal grandparents are Mary Strickland of Conyers and Jim and Debbie Strickland of Conyers. Sibling to the newborn is Bryson Strickland.
