Go Rams!

The Newton High School Rams basketball team, under the direction of coach Rick Rasmussen, has played this year with enthusiasm and spirit. Their efforts have been shown in their 14-0 district record.

On Wednesday they thoroughly beat the Douglass High team to advance to the state finals.

Double standard in spirituality

The Roman Catholic Church has never wavered on beliefs about conception and the right to life. Pope Benedict XVI has made it very clear that the church does not condone the use of condoms in Africa or anywhere for that matter.

Harry Knox who serves as an adviser on President Obama's council on Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnership said because of the Catholic Church's long standing doctrine, the Pope is hurting people in the name of Jesus.

Let the sun shine

Clarke's Grove has been an innovative neighborhood since its construction. Again, Clark's Grove is leading the way in energy efficiency.

In a collaboration between the home owners' association and Hannah Solar of Atlanta, a $250,000 stimulus grant was obtained to install solar paneling on the retail units in the neighborhood. Each unit owner also had to match some funds - to the tune of a $30,000 combined investment.
