Our thoughts... Be a big shot

Recently you may have enjoyed our weekly feature, Friday Scrapbook. For the most part, the images you see on our scrapbook page are taken and submitted by people who do not work for the newspaper. Many photo submissions are taken by amateurs, yet they are just as beautiful as those taken by professionals.

Play ball

A few months ago we announced that we were going back to our roots and the roots of this county by covering the agribusiness community more thoroughly; this has been a success and has struck a special chord with our readers both out in the county as well as within the city.

Sweetness of the season

Despite astronomical pollen level, this spring has been truly beautiful and pleasant. This is the time of year when you can ride in the car and sleep at night with the windows open.

Saving money on gasoline and electricity affords most a bit of extra cash during the spring months that disappears once the heat of the summer has arrived.

We are glad that some qualified candidates have either thrown their hats in the ring or are thinking about running for the three soon to be vacant seats on the Newton County Board of Education.

Our thoughts... Easter wishes
