Have you ever thought …

The family and home should be at the very core of any young life. When these turn against the child or youth, where does one turn? The need to make sure the child in need is heard is a growing problem in our nation and our community.

Happy April; time to get growing

It's time to break some ground and get growing. Maybe it's time to break out of that rut of growing four tomato plants a year, and grow a diverse garden full of strange vegetables. Or maybe this is the year to that you need to grow enough to be prepared for a zombie apocalypse or the crash of the supermarket industry.

Dustin Bragg among great week of music

Howdy, folks; it's so good to be back writing for you in this space again. Not only that, but it has been great seeing how much incredible musical talent we have around here. A lot of people seem to make the statement that there must be something in the water, concerning Newton's musicians. And I'm not inclined to disagree with that sentiment.

Have you ever thought …

Today is the most sacred day of the Christian year. The only day that would come close is Christmas. But Easter is, by far, the most sacred. Noted British theologian N.T. Niles wrote, "Take away the stories of Jesus's birth and you loose two chapters of Matthew and two of Luke. But take away the resurrection and you lose the entire New Testament."
