The popular Newton County sports/family entertainment center, GameTime, will have its grand reopening on Monday, January 19. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. families will have the opportunity to enjoy themselves at the center, with free admission. The entrance closes at 4 p.m., but the activities don't stop until 5 p.m.
The Newton County Recreation 7-8 All-Star football team played in the Gridiron Bowl Saturday, Nov. 22 and beat Macon United in two blow-out games. The score of the first game was 14-0 and the second game was under the lights of Homer Sharp Stadium as Newton County won 25-0. The team played in Macon this weekend for their next tournament where they will play five or six teams in attempt to bring home another trophy.
