Swagger and confidence

Any championship team in any sport will tell you that to win a championship everybody has to buy in and everybody has to understand their role. Some players on championship teams don't like each other (Hi Shaq and Kobe), but they still work together for the common goal – a championship. This year's Eastside baseball team hasn't won a championship yet, but the Eagles are playing with the swagger and confidence of a championship team.

Yesterday when the Eagles took on Walnut Grove at home they used stellar defense and excellent pitching to earn a 6-1 win, but today it was Eastside's bats that propelled them to a 11-6 victory over the Warriors and put them in sole possession of second place in the Region 4-AAAA sub-region.

Ritchey deals, sinks Walnut Grove

Eastside (12-5. 8-3 Region 4-AAAA) ace, Gray Ritchey reminded Eagles' fans how talented he was in a 6-1 victory over Walnut Grove that forced the two teams into a tie for second place in the sub region, setting up a pivotal series finale tomorrow at Walnut Grove.
