Dynamic Duo

Eastside athletics have thrived since the school dropped down to Class AAA four years ago - especially volleyball and softball. Two players in particular have been around to see it all. Amanda Hawkins and Katie Johnston both arrived on campus in 2008. Over the past four years, they've played a pivotal role in the softball and volleyball teams' success.

Eagles fall to Henry County 34-24, miss postseason

Despite all that went wrong for Eastside leading up to Friday's winner-take-all season finale at Henry County, the Eagles still had a shot at the playoffs. Late turnovers proved to be too much to overcome though and the Warhawks will be the region's fourth playoff team after a 34-24 win.

Grounded: Eagles lose third straight

Big plays doomed Eastside again. For the second straight week, the Eagles gave up a long rushing touchdown in the first quarter, quarterback Cameron Boyd had an interception returned for a touchdown and the Eagles lost an important region game, this time falling to Stockbridge 21-3.
