Tyrik Francis sort of fell into soccer accidentally. At around the age of four, Tyrik and his mother, Nicole Isaacs, met a group of people while playing t-ball and they informed Isaacs that the YMCA had soccer. Isaacs, who is Carribean, decided to let Tyrik play.

With a combined score of 290 Eastside girls' golf placed third at sectionals a little over one week ago, just seven strokes behind second place. The Lady Eagles will now try for a state championship on Monday when they travel to Applewood Golf Course in Keysville.
