Catherine Lee made history on Tuesday, as she was the first softball player to have her jersey (No.27) retired by Eastside High School. We sat down with Lee for a few minutes to talk about what it meant for her, life after college and if she'd ever consider coaching.

Both Alcovy and Eastside have starting lineups majorly made up of either sophomores and/or freshmen. The question coming into the game was "which team's inexperience would show more?" The answer to that question is Alcovy, as their inexperience showed throughout the game where they fell 36-6 to the Eagles.

In what looked to be a runaway victory at one point for Eastside High School, turned out to be a dramatic finish, but the Eagles showed resiliency and escaped with a 5-4 victory over Alcovy.
The Eastside High School softball alumni returned on Saturday for the first annual alumni game, but also to support the Wright family. James Wright was tragically injured in a car accident and left paralyzed. The proceeds of the game went to the Wright family.
Eastside High School will host a Lady Eagles alumni game on August 16 at the EHS softball fields at 11 a.m.
