Tigers stun Griffin with 17-16 win

The Alcovy Tigers didn't make it easy on themselves Friday night but again they found a way late in the game to hold on and take the victory over a Griffin Bears team they've struggled against in the past.

Much-needed win

After a rough week on the road, Alcovy volleyball got back on track Monday by earning a split in an area tri-match at home. The Lady Tigers topped Riverdale 25-17 and 25-23 to open the match before falling to Dutchtown 14-25 and 13-25.

Alcovy High School's softball team hosted Union Grove on Tuesday in a hard fought ball game that was decided in the final innings. The Lady Tigers lost 4-0 to the Lady Wolverines but demonstrated that they could compete against some of the best pitching in the state.

Lady Tigers have renewed optimism
