In addition, he also served as an interim pastor for Salem Baptist Church, in Conyers and Mt. Zion Baptist Church, in Oxford. He was a member of Newton Baptist Church, and loved his church families as much as his own family. He enjoyed wood crafts, cooking, gardening and Southern gospel singings.
