She was born August 28, 1941 in Austell Georgia to Arlo and Mary Pike who have preceded her in death. Mrs. Bishop worked for and retired from The Rockdale Citizen Newspaper. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. J.C. "Shep" Shepard Jr., 89, of Social Circle, passed to be with his beloved wife of 50 years Elizabeth "Liz" Clay Shepard on August 25, 2014. Born December 20, 1924, he was the son of the late James Curtis Shepard and Jessie V. Shepard Studdard. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Shepard.

Mrs. Louise Thomason

Louise Thomason of Covington, passed away Aug. 24, 2014, at the age of 84. Ms. Thomason was an active member of New Life Praise Center, in Covington, and was a dedicated employee of Lithonia Lighting for 38 years. Following her work at Lithonia Lighting, she dedicated herself to caring for handicapped children. Ms. Thomason was a giving lady, and constantly gave of her time to help those less fortunate. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Preceding her in death was her brother, Thomas McCord.

Mrs. White was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Statesboro, Georgia, and was the eldest daughter of Robert Lee and Florence Hendrix Ward. Mrs. Bonnie M. Tingler, of Covington, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014, at the age of 87. She was born in Ronceverte, West Virginia to the late Russell and Emma M. Morgan. Mrs. Tingler was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Covington and was an avid BINGO player at the Covington ELKS Club and Conyers American Legion. Coolidge Tisdale died Jan. 20. The son of the late the Rev. Peter Edward Tisdale and Mrs. Celeste Smith Tisdale, he was born in 1923 in Penny Farms, Fla. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. Following his retirement, he was employed by Jacksonville Shipyard with 19 years of service. Mr. Tisdale was a member of Greater Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Callahan, Fla., where he served as trustee for a number of years. He later joined and attended Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla., until his health failed.
