James V. White of Covington, passed away May 7, 2012, at the age of 80. He enjoyed talking on CB radios as "Silver Slipper", gardening, fishing for catfish, and watching the Atlanta Braves, John Wayne movies, and wrestling. Mr. White was often heard telling tall-tales, and loved his dog, Weasle. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Rita Faye Hubbard, Brenda White, Dianne White; granddaughter, Kimberly White; and his parents, Thomas and Ola Odesa (Roland) White.
Frank Phillip Castellana, Sr. of Covington, GA passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Newton Medical Center, following a brief illness. Frank was born March 28, 1932 in Tampa, FL to Emanuele and Virginia Castellana. While still a child, his family moved to Atlanta, GA where he began his lifelong work in the restaurant industry. He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954, and was stationed in Schwabisch Gmund, West Germany with 35th Field Artillery Group, achieving the rank of Acting Sergeant.
Mrs. Amanda Banks Sellars, age 82, of Mansfield passed away February 10, 2012.She was born in Monticello, Georgia on May 8, 1929 to the late Holland and Lurline Henderson Banks.Mrs. Sellars loved flowers and working in her yard, she was a member of New Rocky Creek Baptist Church and worked at Belk's, Ace Hardware Distribution Center in Conyers and at Blackwell's Grocery.She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend.
Mr. John Howard Donald, 53, of Covington, GA passed away peacefully on February 6, 2012after a three year long battle with illness.He was born January 7, 1959 to the late Jack Anthony Donald and his mother who survives him Dee Ann Howard Donald in Decatur, GA.John worked as a senior consultant for the City of Atlanta for a number of years.He was preceded in death by his father Jack Anthony Donald in 1989.
Scott Gober of Covington, passed away February 5, 2012, at the age of 53. Scott worked for Hercules, in Covington, for over 18 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and meeting his friends at the Waffle House. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Lillian (Kinsey) Gober.

Lisa Farmer, of Covington, passed away Feb. 2, 2012, at the age of 37. Lisa was a member of Covington Christian Church and worked as a supervisor for Love's Truck Stop. She was a very loving aunt, and loved her entire family dearly. She also had a love for animals, especially her dog, Buddy. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Tony Farmer and her grandmother, Helen Ivey.
Mr. Mike Bogan, 61, of Mansfield and formerly of Redan, passed away Feb. 3, 2012. He was born Feb. 25, 1950, in Griffin, Ga., to the late Robert Leon Bogan and his mother, Elizabeth Mann Bogan, who survives him. Mr. Bogan was a member of Eastridge Community Church and a member of the American Legion. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Bogan was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.

Alison M. (Bell) Campbell, 56, of Covington died tragically Jan. 28. She was born in 1955 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by grandparents Robert and Dorothy Jamieson and parents Walter McCoy and Carol Bowman. Mrs. Campbell was a dedicated employee of the Conyers Walmart for 13 years until the late 2000s. She was a bright, loving woman. Her greatest accomplishments in life were her grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunt and friend. Mrs. Campbell always welcomed everyone with open arms.
Mary Frances Hardman of Covington died January 27, 2012 at the age of 97.She was born in Morgan County to the late Wiley Pope and Mamie Alliston and was the widow of Leonard Jack Hardman. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn for 70 years and enjoyed working in her garden.
