A retiree of Martin Marietta, (now Lockheed-Martin), she is survived by her husband of 63 years, Linwood Tudor of Jackson, Georgia; sons Jim Tudor and daughter-in-law Sandra Tudor of Newborn, GA, Charles Tudor of Redington Shores, Florida and Jeff Tudor and daughter-in-law Lee Tudor of Winter Garden, Florida, as well as 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Sarah Amanda (Manda) Dodd of Covington, died July 17, 2011, at the age of 24. Manda worked as a medical receptionist for Rockdale Family Practice for 2 years; and was a member of The Church at Covington. She enjoyed writing poetry and loved music. Manda liked riding on the back of motorcycles, and loved going to drag races. She loved life, and was a loving and devoted mother.
Lee Seal of Covington, formerly of Russellville, AL, passed away July 13, 2011, at the age of 74. He retired from Vulcan Materials, in Conyers, after 19 years of service. He enjoyed cooking and working in his vegetable garden. Mr. Seal was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lester and Dollie (Fuller) Seal.
James William Thompson of Covington, GA died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Social Circle Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on November 27, 1921 in Jackson, GA to Hezekiah Columbus and Mary Edna Holifield Thompson. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army serving three years and nine months in the Pacific Theater as a Sergeant. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was one of the three oldest living members. His passion was hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Lawrence Anthony LaJaunie, III of Covington, passed away July 12, 2011, at Rockdale Medical Center. He was 46 years old at the time of his death. Mr. Dewey Cason, of Oxford passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 10, 2011. He was born May 31, 1925 in Oxford to the late Charles A. and Sadie Ruth Bostwick Cason. Mr. Cason was a lifelong resident of Oxford and was a member of Gum Creek Presbyterian Church where he served faithful as an elder and member until his death. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy serving during World War II. Mr. Cason retired from Snapping Shoals EMC after 35 years of service.
