Mr. Richard Larry Tanner

Richard Larry "Gran-paw Tater" Tanner, age 64, of White Plains, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Richard was born in Buckhead, Ga., on Dec. 6, 1949. He was the oldest of nine children born to the late Gordon Arlin Tanner and Ina Ellen Burchard Tanner. He was a 1968 graduate of Newton County High School and married Carolyn Ann Mentel on Oct. 24, 1970.

MOORE Mr. Fletcher Moore, 97, of Covington died October 8, 2009. He was born to the late W.C. and Willie Grant Moore on October 2, 1912 in Jasper County. After the death of her mother, she was raised by her grandmother Julia Clements, affectionately known as "Rye." Troy Weyman Drummond Sr., 83, passed away Sept. 28 at his Jackson Lake home. Born in 1926 in Bethlehem, he was the son of George Washington Drummond Sr. and Beulah Everett Drummond. Mr. Drummond enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II in USS Pamina and was present in Tokyo Bay at the Japanese surrender ceremony.
