William C. Johnston

William C. Johnston, 84, of Covington, passed away April 29, 2011, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle. Mr. Johnston served in the U.S. Army, worked as a forklift driver at Ace Hardware in Conyers, and at the Army Distribution Center in Conley. He enjoyed fishing, storytelling, and spending time with his church family at Lovejoy United Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sara Frances (Dial) Johnston, daughter, Debbie Johnston, and parents, Lurline and George W. Johnston.

Mr. Knarr retired from Bridgestone, in Covington, as a Computer Programmer. He enjoyed woodwork, photography, model trains, barbecues, sailing, traveling, and reading. He was a member of the Oxford Lions Club. Mr. Knarr was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
