Mr. Jack Eugene Smith, 58, of Shady Dale, died Monday, March 25, at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Clayton Barnette, 73, of Conyers, passed away March 24, after a brief illness. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, gardening, his cats, dining out and the movies.
Lloyd Milas "Bo" Lyda, 26, of Oxford, passed away March 22. He was a 2005 graduate of Newton County High School and attended Georgia Perimeter College after he graduated. He enjoyed fishing, singing and performing in plays. His favorite music was country. He loved animals, especially cats.
Mrs. Betty McKinley Bagwell, 83, of Social Circle, passed away March 21. She moved to Social Circle in 1965 from Decatur. She worked as a cashier for Food Giant Grocery Store and retired after 19 years of service.
Mr. Joe Hoyt Brewer, age 64, of Mansfield passed away March 22, 2013 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to James Hoyt and Mae Pitts Brewer on September 3, 1948. Mr. Brewer enjoyed working with his hands and could build anything. He loved spending time with his family and working in his garden.
Sarah Elizabeth Day Sears, 87, of Covington, died Jan. 5 at DeKalb Medical Center. The daughter of the late Columbus Yancey and Annie Elizabeth Hackett Day, Mrs. Sears was a wonderful cook and cake decorator as well as a talented seamstress. She was very artistic and enjoyed arts and crafts. Mrs. Sears was a faithful Christian and Sunday school teacher and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, ...

Ina Ellen Tanner, of White Plains, died January 5, 2009, at Athens Regional Medical Center, at the age of 79. Formerly of Covington, Mrs. Tanner had made her home in White Plains for the past 13 years where she was a very active member of Mt. Stephens Baptist Church. She was employed by Walmart for 20 years and after retiring was a very active volunteer for the American Red Cross and Project Linus. Mrs. Tanner was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon A. Tanner.
Mrs. Melba Ruth Evans Harcrow, 79, of Covington died Jan. 4 at Heritage of Brookstone in Kennesaw.
