Lisa Farmer, of Covington, passed away Feb. 2, 2012, at the age of 37. Lisa was a member of Covington Christian Church and worked as a supervisor for Love's Truck Stop. She was a very loving aunt, and loved her entire family dearly. She also had a love for animals, especially her dog, Buddy. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Tony Farmer and her grandmother, Helen Ivey.
Mr. Mike Bogan, 61, of Mansfield and formerly of Redan, passed away Feb. 3, 2012. He was born Feb. 25, 1950, in Griffin, Ga., to the late Robert Leon Bogan and his mother, Elizabeth Mann Bogan, who survives him. Mr. Bogan was a member of Eastridge Community Church and a member of the American Legion. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Bogan was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.

Alison M. (Bell) Campbell, 56, of Covington died tragically Jan. 28. She was born in 1955 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by grandparents Robert and Dorothy Jamieson and parents Walter McCoy and Carol Bowman. Mrs. Campbell was a dedicated employee of the Conyers Walmart for 13 years until the late 2000s. She was a bright, loving woman. Her greatest accomplishments in life were her grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunt and friend. Mrs. Campbell always welcomed everyone with open arms.
Mary Frances Hardman of Covington died January 27, 2012 at the age of 97.She was born in Morgan County to the late Wiley Pope and Mamie Alliston and was the widow of Leonard Jack Hardman. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn for 70 years and enjoyed working in her garden.

Phyllis Krinks Nicholson of Covington died Jan. 19 at The Retreat in Monticello. She was born in 1929 in Sydney, Australia, to Stanley G. and Amy Krinks. She met and married Henry Frederick Nicholson during World War II in Sydney. After the war they settled their family in Fitzgerald, moved south to Lake Worth, Fla., and eventually moved to Covington 22 years ago. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Henry Frederick Nicholson, parents Stanley and Amy Krinks and brother Charles Krinks.
Edith Marie Owens, 87, of Covington, passed away Jan. 22. Mrs. Owens was a faithful member of Covington Church of Christ. She is loved, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Myrtle Fincher Banks, 91, of Covington, passed away Jan. 21. Myrtle Odessa Burney was the sixth of seven children of the late Henry and Lula Mae Burney. She grew up on a farm and attended the old Starsville School through the 9th grade. She married Herbert Fincher in 1944, and together they built their home in the Stewart Community of Newton County. Together they raised their two boys, Danny and Dennis, along with raising cotton, corn, cows, pigs, chickens, and rabbit dogs.
