Martha King Moody, 88, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014, in Nixa, Montana. She was born in Covington and lived here much of her life. She was married for 61 years to Frank Moody, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2007. Mrs. Moody was a pastor's wife, and at various times, she had jobs as a secretary and substitute teacher. Mrs. Rachael B. Payne of Covington passed away January 29, 2011 at the age of 82. She was born in Jackson, GA to James W. and Mary (King) Baugh and was the widow of Ardell Junior Payne and grew up in the Covington Mill area. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband, especially the camping trip they took to Alaska. Rachael was a lifetime member of The Gospel Tabernacle and Christ Cornerstone Church, and served as the Ladies Auxiliary Leader for the Gospel Tabernacle.
