Mrs. Brenda P. Sweat, age 74, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015. She was born December 17, 1940 in Covington to Kermit and Jeanette Calvert Pratt who have preceded her in death. Mrs. Sweat worked for the City of Covington for many years and was a retired purchasing agent for DeKalb County. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church and was an avid reader, a seamstress and a gourmet cook. Mrs. Sweat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her brother Kermit Eugene and Mary Jo Pratt.

Nell Pennington Blair Mundy of Covington passed away February 15, 2015. She was 98, her birthday being December 11, 1916. The daughter of W.B.R. Pennington and Annie Gay Pennington, she graduated from high school and business school. Mrs. Mundy moved to Atlanta and was employed by Atlanta Pharmaceutical Company and thirty years with Scott Paper Company. Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Dunevent, 64, of Covington died Wednesday, May 04, 2011 at Abbey Hospice. She was born July 12, 1946 in Rome, GA to the late Marshall Leonard and Clara Mae Heath Adams. Mrs. Dunevent was of the Baptist faith and attended Solid Rock Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, crocheting and was the best cook in the country.

Bobbye Maddox Cawthon, 84, of Jackson, died April 29 at the Abby Hospice in Social Circle. She had been residing at Autumn Village Assisted Living Center in Jackson. She was born in Butts County, in 1927 one of 11 children of Glenn C. and Leila Mason Maddox. She was wife of the late John Curry Cawthon. Mrs. Cawthon was a secretary for Eastern Air Lines for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Covington.

Mr. Johnston served in the U.S. Army, worked as a forklift driver at Ace Hardware in Conyers, and at the Army Distribution Center in Conley.
