Martha King Moody, 88, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014, in Nixa, Montana. She was born in Covington and lived here much of her life. She was married for 61 years to Frank Moody, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2007. Mrs. Moody was a pastor's wife, and at various times, she had jobs as a secretary and substitute teacher. A member of a large family, she always enjoyed being with family members. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Covington.

Peggy Knox, age 79, of Covington, passed away December 2, 2014. Mrs. Knox was a soft-spoken lady, with a gentle spirit and caring heart. She enjoyed playing bridge and dining out at nice restaurants. Additionally, she was an exceptional cook, and was known for her delicious pancakes and biscuits. Mrs. Knox cherished her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Rawlins was a strong willed woman who loved her children and grandchildren very much. A woman with a strong work ethic, she worked at Owens Illinois in Hapeville, Georgia from 1957 to 1993. He enjoyed helping with Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, camping and hunting. She was born November 3, 1928 in Newborn, Georgia to the late Clarence Brooks and Annie May Fouts Brooks Adams. Mrs. Beier was a homemaker and was of the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Newton County School system and was employed with Bibb and Marshall for several years. She joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. She was born April 19, 1926 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late John Richard and Clara (Azlee) Brown. She moved to Covington from Stockbridge in 1996 and was retired from Woolworth Department store where she worked as a cashier for 17 years. Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Gospel Mission in Almon.
