Mrs. Miller loved spending time with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Alex Cooper, age 21, of Covington passed away March 29, 2013. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 10, 1991 and grew up in Covington. Alex was a 2010 graduate of Alcovy High School and currently attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. He served his country in the United States Army and was currently employed with Publix in Conyers. Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Frances Minor and Robert and Janet Cooper.

Holly Nanette Purdy of Covington died Feb. 20 at St. Joseph['s Hospital. Born in Atlanta in 1952, she was the daughter of the late Konrad and Martha Parr Purdy. Miss Purdy was a graduate of the University of Georgia where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. After graduation she worked for Delta Airlines as a flight attendant and retired after 31 years of service. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Covington, Athens Junior League and the Covington Garden Club.
