Della Astin Kitchens, 93, of Porterdale, passed away peacefully January 2, 2015. Della was an active member of Porterdale Baptist Church prior to her declining health. Jean Babington Remley, 98, passed away peacefully at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle December 31, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. Born November 22, 1916 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mrs. Remley was a resident of Covington since 1939. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph M. Remley (Joe). Survivors include one daughter Jeannette R. Harris and son-in-law, Ned Harris of Monticello, and one granddaughter Sharon Jean Kinman-Hall, and husband Rod Hall of Lawrenceville.
