Ms. Linda Hammond, 65, of Covington, passed away Dec. 20. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard and taking care of animals. Ms. Hammond loved the Lord Jesus Christ and because she had a heart of gold, she enjoyed helping those less fortunate, especially during the holiday season. Most important, Ms. Hammond was a devoted mother, granny, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Von and Nannie Elizabeth (Berrong) Arrowood.

She was a retired employee of Sisters of Charity Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y., and was an active member of Mount Olive Baptist Church of Buffalo. She loved to travel and watch and old black and white western movies.
