Louise Kelley Boss, 89, of Covington, passed away August 13, 2016. She was born June 5, 1927, in Molena to the late Floyd and Gaudie Pierce Kelley. Boss was an avid reader and enjoyed making crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie W. Boss in 1999. Oliver "Lonnie" Hunter, III, 75, of Oxford passed away Monday, August 2, 2016. He was born in Atlanta on June 4, 1941. Lonnie loved his family, his church and antique cars. He and his wife of 51 years are members of the First Baptist Church of Covington. Hunter served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his father Oliver Hunter, Jr.
Charlen Miles Crenshaw, 91, passed away August 4, 2016. Born July 16, 1925, to Howard Miles and Frances Daniel Miles, Charlen was a 1943 graduate of Girl's High School in Atlanta. She worked as a model in Atlanta throughout the 1940s and 1950s, and later worked in Executive Reservations for Delta Airlines.
William Thomas (Bill) Hailey, 85, of Rutledge, passed away August 2, 2016. Mr. Hailey retired from General Motors and was a faithful member of Willow Springs Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and enjoyed striking up friendly conversations with everyone he met. His love for travel allowed him to visit places all over the world – including Germany and France. Mr. John Corley, age 69, a lifelong resident of Covington passed away August 1, 2016. He was born January 12, 1947 in Atlanta. Mr. Corley retired form IBEW Local 613 and was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. He enjoyed many things in life but none more than his family, he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson Dylan and teaching him about his passion for the outdoors. John also enjoyed restoring his car and loved his dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Starr Corley.

He was retired from Mobile Chemical Company and the Newton County Board of Education. He was also employed by Martha Mills of Thomaston, Georgia and the state of Georgia.

Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the owner-operator of Brown's Lawn Care. Jimmy is preceded in death by both parents; his loving wife of 50 years Martha Jean Howard Brown in December of 2015; his daughter Jennifer Brown in 1972; and brother Kenneth Brown.
