Mr. George (Skeet) Harper, 93, of Porterdale, passed away April 30. Mr. Harper worked for Bibb Manufacturing Company for 20 years, before retiring from Hercules, in 1983, after 14 years of service. He was Past Master of the Pace Masonic Lodge No. 558 F&AM, in Porterdale, where he was a member for 60 years. In addition, he was a faithful member of County Line Baptist Church.

Miss Purdy was a graduate of the University of Georgia where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. After graduation she worked for Delta Airlines as a flight attendant and retired after 31 years of service.
