Mrs. Jean Miller, 83, of Covington, passed away April 3. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching them play. Mrs. Miller loved spending time with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Alex Cooper, age 21, of Covington passed away March 29, 2013. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 10, 1991 and grew up in Covington. Alex was a 2010 graduate of Alcovy High School and currently attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. He served his country in the United States Army and was currently employed with Publix in Conyers. Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Frances Minor and Robert and Janet Cooper.

Mrs. Betty McKinley Bagwell, 83, of Social Circle, passed away March 21. She moved to Social Circle in 1965 from Decatur. She worked as a cashier for Food Giant Grocery Store and retired after 19 years of service.
Zachery Bernard Robertson was born to Clyde L Robertson Sr. and Catherine Wright Robertson in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 7, 1956. He accepted Christ as his Personal Savior at a young age and grew in the Lord. He attended Atlanta Public Schools. Zachery enjoyed drawing and playing his guitar. Mrs. Merle Hays Prosser, 96, of Mansfield, passed away Jan. 10. She was a member of Luther Hays Presbyterian, in Hayston, both named after her forbears. Mrs. Prosser and her husband Anson, owned and operated Prosser Variety Store, in Mansfield, for more than 25 years. She enjoyed reading, writing, solving crossword puzzles, meeting new people and visiting with old friends when they came into their store.
Mr. Willie James Richards was born January 24, 1943 to the late Mr. & Mrs. John Wesley (Annie Lavaughn) Richards Sr. in Jasper County; he was one of six children, three brothers and two sisters.
