Coach Wilbur "Bo" Fisher, 79 of Oxford, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Emory University Hospital. He was born in Porterdale to the late JC and Willie Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his four brothers and four sisters.
Martille T. Floyd, a lifelong resident of Newton County, passed away December 7, 2015, at the age of 95. Mrs. Floyd retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company after 37 years of dedicated employment. Following her retirement, she continued working 11 years at Covington Moulding. Mrs. Floyd faithfully attended Porterdale Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly, and cherished the time they spent together. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Floyd; parents, Carl and Jettie (Moon) Thomas; and her sister, Geneva Garrett.
Leonard Radney "Boogie" Monk, Jr., 87 of Covington, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Rockdale HealthCare in Conyers. "Boogie" was born in Atlanta to the late Leonard R Sr. and Frances Windham Monk. He lived in Atlanta where he attended Joe E. Brown Jr. High and Tech High School. Mrs. Sarah Oglesby, age 86, of Covington passed away December 2, 2015. She was born in Cuthbert, Georgia to the late John Thomas and Mary Ellis Mims Hawke. Mrs. Oglesby retired from Stanley-Proto. She loved people and enjoyed cooking. Following her retirement she worked for several restaurants in the area including; Betty's Country Kitchen and McDonald's. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Tinsley Rucker Ginn of Covington passed away November 25, 2015, at the age of 89. After Mr. Ginn lost his parents, Tinsley Rucker, Sr., and Frances Davis Ginn at a very young age, he was raised by his Uncle and Aunt, S.A. and Lois Spears Ginn. A 1943 graduate of Covington High School, he then attended Oxford College. Mr. Donald Edwards, age 77, of Covington passed away November 20, 2015. He was born October 22, 1938 in Covington, Georgia to the late Hollis and Lois Fincher Edwards. Mr. Edwards was a lifelong resident of the Stewart Community. He was a member of Red Oak United Methodist Church. Mr. Edwards also attended Trinity United Methodist Church and was currently attending Stewart Community Church. He retired from Essex Wire and Cable and also worked from Hooten Motors, Allen Auto Parts and B & H Wrecker.
William "Gene" Dunevant of Covington, formerly of Moultrie, passed away November 16, 2015, at the age of 75. Mr. Dunevant proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 77 in Conyers. He was employed by Mobil Chemical Company. Mr. Dunevant was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Ray) Dunevant; his father, Harold W. Dunevant; and his mother and step-father, Verdie and Clifford Morrison.

Larry N. Capes of Covington passed away November 13, 2015, at the age of 77. Mr. Capes proudly served his country in the US Army. Robert Reginald "Reggie" McIntosh passed away on November 8, 2015 on his 75 birthday after a lengthy illness. Reginald and his family moved to Mansfield in December 1940, when he was just 6 weeks old. He lived his entire life in this location, with only a short time away while serving in the military. He worked as a trim carpenter, while raising cows and farming. He spent much of his time caring for his pets. He loved music, and earned the nickname "Spooney" from his time playing the spoons with various bands.
Linda Diane (Olsen) Uhlig of Covington passed away November 8, 2015, at the age of 56. Linda's valiant fight with Lymphoma Cancer started in 2013 and resumed in September of 2015. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through months of grueling chemotherapy.
Troy Lackey of Covington passed away November 6, 2015, at the age of 58. Troy enjoyed working with his hands; he could take anything apart and put it back together. An excellent carpenter, Troy used his skills in the construction of the new Access Road location of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home. In addition, he liked to fish and was an animal lover.
