James Marvin Manry, 68, of Cumming, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Edison he was the son of the late Gordon and Lucille Manry. His brother, Gordon Manry, Jr., also predeceased him.
Guy Tucker, age 77, of Oxford, Ga., passed away on January 22, 2016. Guy had complications from chemo therapy after a brave and long battle with Lymphoma. Willie Gordon Downing died peacefully at his home on January 21, 2016, at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Downing; mother, Emma Prince Downing; sister, Pauline Downing; sister, Ollie Peacock. His many friends knew him as "Bud" Downing. Bud was a master builder by trade. He operated a construction firm with his father until his father's death in 1967. After the death of his father, he and his brother-in-law, Z.B. Peacock, operated Peacock Construction Co. until the late 1990's.
Deanna Franklin of Covington, passed away January 24, 2016, at the age of 52. Deanna was a faithful member of Canaan Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She was a 1611 KJV Bible-believing, missions-minded Christian lady who loved presenting the Gospel and sharing Christ with others. She was a dedicated employee of AT&T for 31 years. Deanna always put others before herself, and will undoubtedly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Doyle Hensdill.

Martha Reynolds Cole, 78, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away after a long fight with Alzheimer's disease Monday, January 18, 2016. Born and raised in Covington to Everett and Lavada Reynolds, Martha graduated from Newton County High School. She later met her first husband Robert Charles Bayliss and put down roots in St. Petersburg, Florida. Martha was a devoted mother and loved her four boys - the "Bayliss Boys" - Rob (Jan), Matt (Christine), Joe (Johanna) and Mitch. She was also crazy about her grandkids, Ethan, Joe Jr., Grace and Gage.
William James ("Bill") Fisher, Jr of Covington passed away January 17, 2016. Bill was born April 9, 1935, in Brunswick Georgia to the late William James, Sr. and Bertha Manning Fisher. Bill grew up in historic Darien, Ga. where he graduated from high school and excelled in both academics and athletics. Bill graduated Georgia Tech in 1956 with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
